HEAD X USM
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE HEAD GOLF + USM COLLABORATION
At HEAD Golf, we’ve always believed that golf is more than a sport. It’s a culture, a rhythm, a way of moving through space. Every detail—what we wear, how we practice, the objects we bring into our daily world—shapes how we connect to the game.
Our collaboration with USM began with that thought. What if the environments golfers live in could reflect the same clarity, precision, and beauty found in the best moments on the course?
USM, the Swiss modular furniture maker renowned for its architectural simplicity, has long represented a quiet form of perfection: functional, minimal, engineered with intention. Those values mirror how we build apparel and how we shape the HEAD Golf design language. The collaboration felt less like a partnership and more like a natural alignment.
“Both brands speak the same design language,” says HEAD Golf creative director, Ka Ho Kam. “Swiss precision and golf innovation share a deep connection. This collaboration merges architecture, sport, and aesthetics into one unified experience.”
Where Architecture Meets Golf
The centerpiece of the collaboration is a modular putting-green installation crafted from USM’s iconic Haller system. It marks USM’s first entry into the world of sport—a testament to how seamlessly the system adapts to new contexts.
In its sculptural U-shape, the unit functions as a refined wardrobe display with clean lines, shelves, and cubbies. But when the turf-topped Haller extension slides into place, it transforms into a five-foot putting green designed for home or studio practice. It’s both an interior object and a performance tool—an intersection of lifestyle, design, and utility.
A Shared Vision of Modern Living
The project arrives as part of USM’s ongoing exploration of how modular design can reshape contemporary living, following collaborations with Kevin Jones, Marc Venot, and New York designer Armando Cabral.
For us, this partnership represents a step toward redefining how golf fits into everyday spaces. It honors the midcentury roots of both brands while offering something unmistakably modern: an environment where the rituals of the game can live comfortably alongside the objects we treasure.
This is golf reimagined—crafted through the lens of design.
