HEAD X Mock Studio

A new kind of golf space

Design often dictates how we experience a sport. For HEAD Golf, the goal has always been to bridge the gap between technical performance and the environments we inhabit. Our collaboration with Mock Studio is a direct extension of that goal—creating a dedicated space for the "Golf Traveler" that prioritizes utility and atmosphere.

Mock Studio’s work in spatial and furniture design is built on a foundation of structural honesty. By using modest materials to create sophisticated systems, they mirror our own approach to apparel. This project isn’t just a display; it’s a modular architectural system designed to travel.

"This partnership is about the intersection of sport and site-specific design," says HEAD Golf creative director, Ka Ho Kam. "We wanted to build something that feels grounded and intentional, regardless of where it’s assembled."

A Functional Shelter for the Modern Player

The collaboration centers on a structure inspired by the utility of a safari tent—a temporary, mobile refuge. It’s designed to function as a consistent home for the collection across varying landscapes, from forest courses to desert fairways.

The build utilizes standard 2x4 lumber and plywood, making the entire installation lightweight, modular, and easy to reuse. This material choice carries through to the integrated seating and product displays, creating a restrained, cohesive environment. Rather than relying on ornate styling, the space uses translucent fabric to manage light and porous boundaries to connect with the outdoors. It’s a study in proportion and negative space, providing a quiet, focused environment for the player.

Practicality in Design

This project represents a shift toward more sustainable, adaptable retail and community spaces. By utilizing standard construction materials and a modular blueprint, we’re able to create a high-end experience that remains mobile and environmentally conscious.

For HEAD Golf and Mock Studio, the focus is on the essentials. By stripping away the unnecessary, we’ve created an environment that honors the ritual of travel and the focus required by the game itself.
